Hello! I just posted this update to my facebook, but I need to let everyone here know, because you follow both Kyandi and Starlight Deco Dream!

” Today’s update is a little bit on the sobering side and is a little more personal than normal. The reason I’m sharing this with you is because my overall health has been declining these last few months
but it’s getting better due to many kind doctors and moral support.

A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and I’m now receiving treatment for this. In short, I’m frequently in a great amount of pain and it makes it quite difficult for me to work as consistently on my shop. While my shop gives me great joy, my health is important too. There may be gaps in between my shipping schedule or the time the shop is open so I may rest. There have been some delays with orders in the last two weeks as well, since I have been adjusting to the medication I’ve been given, but I will always deliver a beautiful product to you. I give you my word.

For me, the good news is, so far it seems the treatment is working, but I still have to rest. I won’t know for sure if I’ll need surgery but I ask that everyone who has ordered or plans to order in the future to know I always give my 100% for the shop and I love all of my customers. I really appreciate the support I’ve had over the years and I couldn’t have made any of this possible without it!

“What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?” You might ask. Here is a little info :

Rheumatoid Arthritis (commonly referred to as RA) is an autoimmune disease.  This means that this disease is caused by the body attacking its self like it was a foreign body.  It begins by causing very painful inflammation in the joints of the body, leading to causing chronic inflammation in other parts of the body, such as the heart, skin, lung, and kidneys.

Treatment of RA is very limited, as there is no way to tell the body to stop attacking itself.  There are 2 primary forms of drug therapy and they can only treat the symptoms of RA, but not prevent progression of the disease.

Again, these treatments have been working, yet the siege of RA has debilitated my speed on dispatching items. If you need an item for an event or a gift and it’s time sensitive, please let me know and I’ll do my very best to work your order into getting to you in an expedient manner.

In short, there may be more delays on future orders, but please keep in mind, they are not purposeful delays. I am becoming handicapped and undergoing some treatment but my shop gives me happiness and I want to continue to create lovely items for everyone.

This also explains why I get sick with colds frequently…
